Not So Good Neighbors (A Hot Tip)

Lawblogger Eric Turkewitz has a major scoop:

"State Farm has been sued for racketeering in New York with a claim that it conspired with "Independent Medical Exam" companies and medical practitioners to produce fraudulent and sham medical reports."

Ooops!

The idea was to generate false medical reports in order to justify cutting off (legitimate) claims.

If true, I would judge this to be far worse than AG Cuomo's silly vendetta against UHC. As they say, read the whole thing.
