Weight Loss In Time For Summer

Summer is almost here and everybody wants to look good. Maybe you already workout but want to see more results, or maybe you are just beginning. Either way, there's still time to lose weight, get in shape, enjoy the summer and wear your bikini. But you must start today.
First, you must be willing to work hard, sweat and take the time necessary to make the most of your workout. At the gym, there are always people there more interested in socializing than exercise. So you must be prepared to give your workouts everything you've got.

A good exercise regimen varies. If you do the same thing everyday, your body grows accustomed to the workout and your results minimize. Your workout plan must consist of one long day each week, 75 minutes of a low intensity workout. Consider taking a walk around your neighborhood. Twice a week you need to have a moderate level of training, such as power walking, for 45 minutes. Three days each week you should exercise 30 minutes hard. Try biking outdoors or using an elliptical trainer.

To make the most of your workout, consider buying a weighted vest, ankle or wrist weights, or a sauna sweat suit to maximize the amount you sweat during your workout. Sweat is essential because it means you are burning fat, which translates into weight loss, so you must make yourself sweat as much as possible.

Drink plenty of water. On average it's recommended that you drink half your body weight in ounces of water. However, if you are working out you need to add a minimum of 20 additional ounces. You must drink plenty of water during your workout to not become dehydrated, especially when you are sweating.

Exercise only is not enough, however, you also need to make changes in your diet in order to lose weight and get in shape. Maybe you need to substitute 100% juice drinks for soda and fresh fruits and vegetables for snacks.

It can be overwhelming to begin an exercise regimen, or to increase one. However, make your workout enjoyable. Listen to music. Find a workout partner. Most importantly, don't give up. If you aren't able to do a 60+ minute walk, do what you are able to do. Can you do a 20 minute walk? Take the ideas from here and adjust them to fit what you are able and interested in doing. As you are able, increase the amount and intensity of your workouts. The point is that you are physically active each and every day.
