One of the worst things that can happen to you, is to need to go to a dentist for a toothache. Here are some of the causes of problems you can have with your teeth: cracked tooth, dental cavity, gum disease, etc.

A toothache might be excruciating in many occasions. If you eat cold and hot food at the same time, it might worsen the situation. The most common cause of toothache is dental cavity. This issue is produced by holes in the dentin and enamel, and these are the two outer layers of your teeth. This issue is caused by some bacteria. They use a type of acid to soften and dissolve the layers of your teeth.

These are some home remedies you can use for your toothache, until you can get an appointment with your dentist:

1. Avoid drinking hot or cold drinks.

2. Using rubbing clove oil is helpful for your teeth.

3. You can crush a clove and mix it up with peanut butter. Then, you just need to apply it to the aching tooth and give it some time.

4. Gargle with a solution of warm water and salt.

5. You can even use turmeric sticks. Making fine power using these sticks is great.

6. You should chew a clove for about an hour, for your teeth to get some relief. You can do this between 3 to 4 times. You can even use ginger in the same way.

7. A fruit juice is very useful to relieve your toothache.

8. You can get relief using drops of vanilla extract.

9. The use of oregano oil is useful too.

10. The Listerine antiseptic will help you too.

You can keep your teeth healthy if you clean them. You also need to reduce the intake of sugary drinks and foods. These are very important things to keep in mind.  Remember to brush your teeth after every meal.  It's also a good idea to floss regularly.
